Account Deletion
You can delete your ALC Connect account and all associated personal data at any time — directly from the app. No staff approval is needed.
How to Delete Your Account

Open Settings
In the ALC Connect app, tap the gear icon to open Settings, then scroll down to the "Delete Account" option.

Review What Happens
You'll see a clear explanation of what gets deleted, what stays, and the 14-day grace period before permanent deletion.

Select a Reason
Choose why you're leaving — this helps us improve our service. You can also provide additional details.

Confirm with Your Password
Enter your password to confirm the deletion. A 14-day grace period begins — you can cancel anytime during this period from Settings.
What Happens After You Confirm Deletion
- 14-day grace period begins. Your account stays active during this time. You can still use the app, send messages, and receive announcements.
- Automatic deletion after 14 days. Your account is permanently and automatically deleted — no staff approval or action is needed.
- You can cancel anytime. Changed your mind? Cancel the deletion from Settings before the 14-day period ends — everything stays as it was.
- Once deleted, it's permanent. Your personal data is anonymized and your account is locked. This cannot be undone.
What Data Is Affected
Permanently Erased
- Name, email, phone number
- Profile photo / avatar
- Date of birth
- Student ID
- Password data
- Login sessions & device tokens
Kept (Anonymized)
- Messages remain — sender shows "Deleted User"
- Conversations preserved for other participants
- Announcements stay visible with anonymized author
- Anonymized enrollment records for ALC
Can't Access the App?
If you can no longer log in, you can request deletion by contacting ALC administration directly:

Include your full name and the email or Student ID associated with your account. ALC will verify your identity before processing.
Parents & Guardians
Parents can delete their own account directly from the app (Settings → Delete Account). To request deletion of your child's account, contact ALC administration with your child's name and Student ID. ALC will verify your relationship before processing the request.
